Four-star recruits Nick Rayfield and Jayden Rodriguez have committed to Syracuse. Dan Kaplan announced Rodriguez’s commitment on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sept. 6, and Ty Xanders announced Rayfield’s on Sept. 9. The two recruits are Syracuse’s first in the 2026 class.
Rodriguez, an attack, attends The Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, Connecticut. Rodriguez led the Pelicans to a 16-2 record in 2024 and a Founders League championship. The junior attack already commands the Loomis offense, scoring from anywhere, and using his vision to distribute to scoring areas. Inside Lacrosse gives Rodriguez an overall grade of 85.
Rayfield, the No. 36 recruit overall in the class, is a Marcellus, New York, native. He led Marcellus to a 19-2 record in 2024, including a 19-game winning streak. Rayfield finished the season with 65 goals and 27 assists, while also picking up 62 ground balls. The four-star midfield has a 90 grade on Inside Lacrosse.
